About the Item
Vintage small cartridge magazine case.
A fine compact shooting cartridge magazine case. The high quality cartridge case with wooden carcass covered in canvas and leather trim, it has a working brass lock and key. The magazine case is in good original condition with leather corner protectors, original single strap around the case that doubles as a carry handle. The interior with blue & white ticking fabric and three dividers, making four compartments, with adjustable leather cartridge lifting straps. A great usable case, maker unknown. The case lid with embossed black initials 'W.J.L.'.
A cartridge magazine is a traditional method of storing cartridges between shoots. When on a shoot the cartridges needed would be removed and placed in a cartridge bag.
