Please examine detailed photos to appreciate the craftsmanship that went into the impressive carvings. This solid oak trunk is the type one might see if touring the hallways of a castle in Denmark. This baroque trunk has passed the test of time and will maintain its elegant presence for years to come. Professionally restored and waxed, this large trunk is ready to be placed and enjoyed. Three support brackets were added to the interior top at some point in time to provide strength to where the oak top had an age-related separation which is common in an item over 250 years old. Slight bow to top now visible. Any scratches, cracks, dings, gouges, stains or age related separation are reflective of age and do not detract from the beauty nor function of this incredible find.
