Distress to the finish is reflective of generations of use. The top reveals heavy old staples used to stop cracks or gouges. Refer to interior photos to see the long, wrought iron hinges and a small tray to the right which was used to store smaller, personal items. Restored, solid and stable, this trunk is ready to enjoy. No key nor functioning lock. All scratches, cracks, dings, and age related separation are reflective of age and do not detract from the beauty nor function of this special find. Please refer to professional photos for clear understanding of color, condition, and details; photo lighting, individual monitor display and home lighting all impact how item is viewed.
