About the Item
This rare set of vintage modernist wall hooks was designed by Carlo Bartoli and produced in Italy by Con&Con during the 1970s. Each hook is formed from glossy burgundy red plastic, with a sculptural round knob and integrated hanging element. The design reflects Bartoli’s modernist ethos: simplicity of form, clarity of function, and an elegant use of industrial materials.
Bartoli’s contributions to Italian design are internationally recognized, and this set exemplifies his ability to elevate utilitarian objects into collectible pieces. The glossy finish enhances both the depth of the red color and the sculptural quality of the hooks, making them striking visual accents.
Highly collectible, these wall hooks embody the innovative spirit of postwar Italian design, when designers explored new materials and production techniques to redefine the domestic landscape. They are ideal for collectors of 20th-century design, mid-century modern interiors, or architectural accents with both utility and style.
