19th Century French Cast Iron Hall Tree
About the Item
A true objet d'art to be admired for generations, this antique freestanding hall tree is a true masterpiece of Rococo style craftsmanship. Expertly cast in iron, the intricate frame is a display of ornamental artistry. Elaborate foliage and floral carvings wind their way across the elegant design, accented by mythical neoclassical sea serpents.
The central feature is a framed oval mirror, allowing one to steal a final glance before departing. Eight ornately curved hooks grace the sides, providing ample space for coats, hats, and accessories. A scalloped porcelain drip pan in the shape of a seashell rests at the bottom to catch water from dripping umbrellas - a charming nod to the oceanic creatures adorning the frame.
With its perfect balance of feminine grace and masculine strength, this hall tree is a stunning focal point that would lend an air of sophistication and historical elegance to any entryway.
