About the Item
This coat rack and umbrella stand has a very pretty burgundy red patina.
It is in very good condition.
Alfred and Emile Corneau founded their foundry in Charleville in 1846, specializing in nails and secondary cast iron.
The factory, which became renowned, produced ornamental cast iron objects and heating appliances, notably heaters after 1886.
The Corneau foundry evolved over the years, changing its name to become Paillette et Cie, then the Deville factory, and ceased its foundry activity in 1992.
