About the Item

This early twentieth century Henri II style hall tree is constructed of solid walnut with seven bronze hooks and its original beveled mirror. It is detailed with fluting on the sides, a stylized leaf pattern, and a removable upper banister with turned spools finished with finials. This piece features two columns of three hooks descending each side to meet a brass umbrella bar. A lower zinc liner fits into the base and was used to collect water dripping from umbrellas. c. 1900.
