Gothic Oak Hall Stand with Mirror, circa 1895

About the Item

Standing just over eight feet tall, this magnificent Gothic hall stand makes an impressive statement with its beautiful carvings and rich, dark finish. It features high relief carvings that include a carved head that peers out over the shaped beveled mirror, a pierced pediment, linenfold panels, arches, candles, and trefoils. Six double wrought iron hooks and two single wrought iron hooks are ideal for hanging coats, scarves, and hats. The umbrella stand has a removable drip tray, which is customary in pieces from this era. The shaped mirror has flecking and slight imperfections. It has been edited to remove reflection. The hall stand must be secured to a wall for safety and stability.
