For sale is a wonderful pair of Italian mid-century, Space-Age "ARCO" Coat Hooks designed by Luigi Caramella for Italian company Con&Con in the 1970s. This colourful pair are in superb vintage condition, with only minor marks & scratches commensurate with age and careful use. Both hangers come with their original mounting plates, which are clean and in great condition. The “Arco” coat hook features a sleek, curved design crafted from ABS plastic, embodying the minimalist and futuristic style characteristic of the Space-Age movement. Produced in various colours, including white, cream, yellow, blue, and red, the hook offers versatility in interior decor. Its simple yet ingenious metal mounting system allows for easy wall installation, providing both functionality and a touch of retro-futuristic charm to any space. For sale is an iconic orange D36 “Agaricon” table lamp, designed by Ross Lovegrove in 1999 for LucePlan of Italy. Light and semi-transparent, the Agaricon (Greek for mushroom) is switched on and off by touching an aluminium sensor ring that runs around the outer edge of the lamp's shade. Running the finger along that rim regulates the modulation of light intensity and acts as a dimmer. The body and lid are made of high-pressure injection-moulded polycarbonate. The lamp is in superb vintage condition and in perfect working order. The only issue of note is that two of the three small plastic clips that would have originally secured the top plate to the rest of the lamp are missing. This is only an issue if the lamp is tipped upside down, without holding on to the top, otherwise the plate sits snugly in the base. The Agaricon which is included in Charlotte & Peter Fiell’s book, “1000 Lamps” and featured in many museum design collections is already a lighting classic and makes quite a statement.
