About the Item
A beautiful example of a Victorian, late 19th century Aesthetic period walnut adjustable painting easel, with nicely carved fold-out portfolio at the base, decorated with satinwood inlaid musical instruments, scrollwork, turned outer support columns flanking the portfolio, as well as ebonized and gilt highlights. This Art Nouveau style easel is in very good overall condition, with some restorations, minor imperfections, and expected wear from age and use. Missing finial at top, but replaced with 19th century round boss that looks great! Missing screw head for adjustable arm, but still works. Dimensions: 83 in H x 30 in W x 32 in D (adjustable).
