Dramatic black lacquer ebonized artist easel stand made in the English chinoiserie revival period of the early 20th century. The stand features a delicate wood frame with a Chinese pagoda motif mounted on top. The wood has fine-scribed detail and an aged lacquer finish. The legs are conjoined by a stretcher in front with decorative greek key designs in a neoclassical style. From an estate in San Francisco, CA.
