Ponti Style Parchment Magazine Rack 1950s
About the Item
Stunning modernist magazine rack attributed to Aldo Tura and was distributed through Rosenthal. When I bought this piece there was a labeled one for sale and at the time the design was often attributed to Gio Ponti. In first photo sticker is missing, it had fallen off and we reglued it on (the sticker is the retailer R. Pecchiolo Concessionario which was a shop in Beluenos Aires and in the center of the tag is the distributor Rosenthal's logo. This design is pretty rare and very modern for the period. It is meant to go next to a chair and magazines sit at an angle on it.
