Trompe-l'oeil 'Briefcase' Magazine Stand in Patinated Cognac Leather and Canvas 1970s This is something special and quirky - we’ve never seen one before. A wonderful trompe-l'oeil 'Briefcase' style magazine stand in patinated cognac leather. It is a great design with a strong briefcase vibe, although it obviously is not a bag or a briefcase at all - but a magazine stand. Also a very nice choice of materials, with high-quality cognac leather which gained a nice patina over time on the outside and the inside made in canvas. Since this piece is already around fifty years old, it bears traces of time and use - most notable on the inside and on one of the leather side straps - as can all be seen on the photos. Overall it still is a great looking item in decent shape.
