19th Century French Napoleon III Polished Iron Umbrella Stand
About the Item
Dress an entry way with this fine antique umbrella or cane stand. Crafted in Brittany, France circa 1870, the freestanding stand is decorated with a French revolution royalist, a "Chouan", standing over tools and anchor. The bottom is decorated with a removable white painted tray. The piece is in excellent condition with wonderful, ornate details in high relief and a rich polished steel finish. Place this stand near an entryway, or in a mudroom to catch umbrellas or display a couple of guns.
