This is a stylish antique Victorian solid mahogany hall stand, circa 1860 in date.
The stand features four branches and nine turned coat hooks, above a serpentine umbrella /walking stick stand with an inset metal drip tray, andraised on bun feet.
It is a stylish yet very practical item which would look lovely in any hall.
THE BOTANICAL NAME FOR THE MAHOGANY THIS ITEM IS MADE OF IS SWIETENIA MACROPHYLLA AND THIS TYPE OF MAHOGANY IS NOT SUBJECT TO CITES REGULATION.
