Back to Wall Umbrella Stand in Solid Oak, probably French, 1950s.
This is a wonderful back to wall umbrella stand, made from solid oak and with a very beautiful and modest modernist 'chalet' style. It most probably is a French design. It resembles the style of pieces by modernist designers like Charlotte Perriand, Guillerme et Chambron and Pierre Chapo. Great understated design and a practical item ideal for smaller rooms.
