About the Item
Gorgeous umbrella stand in brass and enameled and perforated metal. This stunning piece was realized in France during the 1940s and is attributed to Mathieu Mategot.
This one of a kind umbrella stand has a sturdy base and frame in brass with the rest of the body made in beige enameled iron. The details on this umbrella stand are fabulous, like the curved handles in woven iron and the brass spider that seems to be in motion.
The brass parts of this umbrella stands have a wonderful bronzed patina which has not been polished as it enhances its design and historical value.
An incredibly rare and unique umbrella stand, perfect to complement an Art Nouveau style project or to be mixed in a Mid-Century style house.
