Who Are You Umbrella Stand
About the Item
"Who Are You" is an umbrella stand that plays with geometries formed by overlapping an angled cube with a parallelogram.
The sculptural object, which functions as an umbrella stand, creates a contrast between positive and negative space.
This object provides multiple options for stacking within the volume's frame.
Marco Ripa master craftmen turns a raw material such as iron into an object with an elegan and minimal shape, essential and clean lines, hand-welded and finished to perfection, for those who believe that the details make the difference, especially in the furnishings.
Where once you may have left your umbrella lying around in random spots, now you will seek to store it within the lines, each time trying to find a new compartment, discovering a different slot each time. A gesture that once seemed so hasty, habitual and lascivious today is a little game of skill, some fun in the routine to break habits.
It is a perfect object to furnish entries, both inside and out; take advantage of unused corners; enrich an lobby, a salon or a waiting room with originality.
Recommended in conjunction with "Who's Next" magazine rack.
Completely handmade, Who Are You is forged in powder-coated metal.
Paintwork: the powder coating based on synthetic resins placed in the oven at high temperatures. The polymerised paint creates an adherent and durable layer. The paintwork is scratch-resistant to high mechanical stress (recurrent rubbing). Suitable for both indoor and outdoor products, it is resistant to both weathering and UV rays.
Care instructions: clean with gentle products for glass.

Marco Ripa
Marco Ripa is a craftsman and designer. Through it he produces unique and bespoke minimal furniture pieces in iron and steel.
Born in 1977, at the age of 15 Marco entered the workshop to learn the craft of an artisan. He chose iron as his signature metal because it’s dirty, noisy and rejects repetition.
His metal takes shape, colour and balance inspired by the American sculpturer Calder. Building on Ruskin's philosophy in the Arts and Crafts Movement Marco believes that a man is as unique and unrepeatable as the objects he makes. At the age of 33 Marco founded his own laboratory for the manufacture of iron and steel. "Ornament is, in very truth, an evidence of life in the school of builders, and of their making a due distinction between work which is to be used for architectural effect, and work which is to possess an abstract perfection". John Ruskin,
historian and art critic
