Truly Magnificent Large over size Antique Pillow A very rare late 16th Century English Needlework Panel The entire surface worked by hand Finished with 18th century Chenille braid to all four sides .Backed with antique dark gold mohair velvet This exquisite needlework panel is over 400 years old and of course shows evidence of this immense age. Ancient restorations, loose missing threads, delicate areas Still however hauntingly beautiful with a faded grandeur appeal which can only be achieved over centuries of use This museum worthy pillow displays absolutely beautifully., however should now be handled with care . Of course not for general use on a family sofa Perfect for display on a special chair, guest bed etc Please read below what may be expected re_ condition of these rare and ancient textiles as this may not be acceptable to you SIZE:- 26 inches x 19 inches (66cm x48cm) LAYAWAY AVAILABLE PLEASE NOTE On a genuine ancient needlework we would of course expect to see evidence confirming its 400 years of use, such as loose missing threads, areas of general wear, perhaps areas of restoration/ patching , sometimes areas of sun fading and brittle threads.
