Hand made bespoke pillow Early 17th century Venetian Silk Velvet 17th century French Aubusson Verdure Tapestry Panel 18th Century gold metallic braids The pale gold fabric backing is much more recent Exquisite faded grandeur appeal which can only be achieved over centuries of use. The rare Venetian velvet is approx 400 years old and of course shows evidence of this immense age which in my opinion only adds further to its appeal The 50 year old Aubusson tapestry is gently time worn. Pleas study photographs as they form a very important part of the description SIZE 20 inches x 20 inches (51cm x 51cm) S5307 All my pillows are hand made by myself incorporating wherever possible rare early textiles I travel extensively throughout Europe to locate beautiful hard to find textiles , some of which can be up to 400 years old and of course will show evidence of this immense age. Rarely totally symmetrical , with perfectly straight lines, without wear ,evenness in colour etc I work as best I can to retain all of this inherent quirkiness to obtain a gently time worn faded grandeur appeal that only be achieved over centuries of use Your pillow will be perfectly imperfect.
