Antique Pillow The French Aubusson Tapestry panel dates from the 17th Century Woven in Naturally Dyed wool and silk Finished on four sides with wide antique gold metallic and linen braid Backed with antique homespun linen The Tapestry panel is in Good antique condition considering it is approx 350 years old Shows general signs of wear commensurte with age and use Please read below what may be expected re_ condition of these rare and ancient textiles SIZE:- 20 inches high x 20 inches wide (51cm x 51cm) LAYAWAY AVAILABLE PLEASE NOTE On a genuine 17th century verdure tapestry we would of course expect to see evidence confirming its 350 years of use, such as loose missing threads, areas of general wear, perhaps areas of re weaving / restoration/ patching , lines of separation within the weaving, sometimes areas of sun fading and brittle threads. All quite normal for great age and type S#4089 FOOTNOTE All my pillows are hand made by myself incorporating wherever possible rare early textiles I travel extensively throughout Europe to locate beautiful hard to find textiles , some of which can be up to 400 years old and of course will show evidence of this immense age Rarely totally symmetrical , with perfectly straight lines, without wear ,evenness in colour etc I work as best I can to retain all of this inherent quirkiness to obtain a gently time worn faded grandeur appeal that only be achieved over centuries of us
