A bespoke hand made pillow Incorporating early textiles 17th Century Flemish (Brussels) Tapestry Panel Woven in naturally dyed wools and silks Depicting a full length Cherub and an exotic bird in flight. Finished with early 18th century fawn silk tassel fringe and metallic braid The gold Pomegranate brocaded fabric backing is later Lovely time worn appeal with general signs of wear commensurate with immense and and use Please study photographs as they do form a very important part of the description SIZE 17 inches x 17 inches (43cm x 43cm) PLEASE NOTE On a genuine 17th century tapestry we would of course expect to see evidence confirming its 350 years of use, such as loose missing threads, areas of general wear, perhaps areas of re weaving / restoration, lines of separation within the weaving, sometimes areas of sun fading and brittle threads.
