Crafted from antique handwoven wool once used as waistbands in regional women’s attire, this cover offers a rare glimpse into the sartorial traditions of Sivas, an Anatolian region of Turkey. The vertical striping in earthy reds, creams, and deep blues has softened beautifully with age, lending warmth and subtle rhythm to any space.
The back is made from handwoven silk-on-cotton fabric dyed with natural pigments, providing a refined yet organic counterpoint to the patterned front. The pairing of antique wool with this naturally lustrous textile creates a quiet harmony of texture and tone, making the piece a versatile addition to both classic and modern interiors.
Recommended pillow insert size is from 32x48cm (12x18 in) to 35x51cm (13x19 in). We recommend using an insert slightly larger than the cover for a full look.
