About the Item
This natural wool home accent throw pillow is made in a pedal loom from 100% hand-spun wool. Each piece is hand-loomed in an artisan community in the Momostenango region of the Guatemalan highlands. The natural wool gives it a lush luxurious feel and the fringe ads a boho charm. Our pillows are crafted by hand, one at a time, so there will be slight variations in size and color.
Handmade artisan pillows are durable because they are made by hand with great attention to detail. These white throw pillows are a great way to create home decoration ideas. Pair it with larger pillows on your couch or bed, or get two to match them to each other.
About the Artisans
Guatemalan industrial designer Diego Olivero co-founded a social enterprise working with more than 550 artisan families in Guatemala, Honduras and Peru, generating sustainable economic development, while maintaining ethically-made modern craftsmanship and creating unique home decor pieces, from wall hangings to pillows. Through your purchase, you are helping to create sustainable fair trade income opportunities for Guatemalan artisans.
