About the Item
Kuba Shoowa pillows…crafted from a handwoven palm wood raffia from the Democratic Republic of Congo (formerly Zaire). Each one is unique; custom made in 2006 with raw silk backs.
Sizes are as follows as displayed on sofa:
Far left: 17.5"W x 8"D x 17.5"H
Left: 17.5"W x 8"D x 17.5"H
Right: 19"W x 8"D x 20"H
Far right: 19.5"W x 8"D x 19.25"H
These are incredibly textural and graphic. The textile is a traditional one and was purchased as raw fabric by one of our family members on safari. We had these custom made with raw silk backs and fit with down and feather pillow inserts/pillow forms. They work on sofas, beds, chairs, etc. Please reach out if you are interested in pairs.
