Velvet stripe introduces a luxurious, low-pile cotton velvet construction to Paul Smith’s ongoing exploration of stripes. Viewed from different vantages, velvet stripe emphasizes matte graphic precision or rich light-reflect surface.
Founded in 1902, Maharam offers a comprehensive collection of textiles for commercial and residential interiors. Maharam pillows feature celebrated textile designs from the 20th and 21st centuries, from re-editions of the work of Charles and Ray Eames, Alexander Girard and Verner Panton to recent collaborations with Hella Jongerius, Paul Smith, Scholten & Baijings, and Studio Job.
Paul Smith (b. 1946, United Kingdom) is a British fashion designer of men’s- and womenswear. His trademark designs combine a flair for eccentric detail with a dedication to the highest standards of craftsmanship. Smith began his career as a teenager working in a local clothing warehouse. Six years after opening his first shop, in 1970 outside of London, he showed his collection on the Paris runways under the Paul Smith label.
