Silk Multicolored Velvet Pillow Luigi Bevilacqua Green Fresie Pattern
About the Item
This amazing luxury pillow is handmade using the iconic silk multicolored velvet "Fresie" in green on ivory ground from "Tessitura Luigi Bevilacqua," the historical and prestigious textile company of Venice.
The exquisite motif of Fresie velvet is inspired by 17th-century 'Jardinière' velvets. However, the choice of botanical elements and the curving stems are typical of Art Nouveau, the style that defined the late 19th century and much of the first quarter of the 20th century.
The pillow is embellished with matching tassel trim all along the four edges and the back side is in pale yellow Rubelli pure silk.
The pillow cover is fully lined, there is an invisible zipper closure at the bottom for easy removal and an insert filled with a sumptuous feather-and-down blend. Handmade in Italy.
