This exceptional, limited edition woodblock print of a once well-known Sumo wrestler is pencil signed, sealed in red, titled (Kitanoumi in Dohyo-iri), dated (1978) and numbered (62/128) by Japanese master printmaker Junichiro Sekino.
A rare and relatively hard-to-find print.
Junichiro Sekino was largely considered, along with Kiyoshi Saito, to be one of Japan's paramount 20th-century master print artists. Both were prominent leaders of the Sosaku Hanga movement. Sekino's works can be found in many museums including:

Nitten Exhibition in 1947, and "Chatei Liqiu" was selected at the 5th Exhibition in 1945. Since then, he will win an exhibition prize every time.
1956 Participated in the formation of Shirakosha by Uda Tekison,
