Her work strikes the balance between colourful dreamscape and inarticulable melancholy. Emma has evolved her practice to include expressive and organic watercolors, alongside paintings created with oil and acrylic. She describes her work as an ongoing exploration without rules and conventions, continually generating new forms, patterns and themes. Emma has collaborated with brands and agencies including Rachel Comey, Show Studio, and Winsor & Newton. Emma Larsson was born in Gothenburg, Sweden in 1977. Since her teenage years, Emma has had her own art studio. Even though she studied art, she didn’t get a higher art education because she started to have a big family. The carpets of Emma Larsson’s In The Meadow collection are inspired by the never-ending wonders of nature. With whimsical and abstract shapes, the carpets depict mesmerising worlds of aquarelle art.
