Antique Caucasian Fachralo Kazak circa 1900

About the Item

A stunning example of a caucasian Fachralo Kazak, featuring a clear crispy red field decorated with two medallions of medium blue colors and one smaller medallion in green. Ornaments throughout this Kazak are known as Memling guls,to be precise there are eight of these guls in different shades of colors which are regarded as tribal emblems.The rug is framed by breathtaking ivory ground border of Kufic composition with two guard borders. One can count nine animal figures in the field and one human figure posing as a shepherd with a stick in his hand!All dyes used to make this Kazak are absolutely organic and quality of the wool is superb.There are few expert restorations completed by a master repair professional and overall condition of the rug is very good.
