About the Item

Hand knotted in wool originating from East Turkestan circa 1890-1900, this antique rug connotes a classic Khotan rug design with a Classic approach to transitional colorway celebrated in this Oriental rug family. The spacious 6’9 x 12’6 size and the sheer definition of the drawing around the medallion pattern remark a particular rarity in this transitional Khotan rug, further enjoying a mild, charming look of distress playing naturally with this pallet of beige-brown and black colorway hues. A welcome addition to the Khotan line in Rug & Kilim’s Antique & Vintage rug collection.
