1910s Antique Khotan Gallery Rug, Periwinkle & Pink Palette
About the Item
Khotan rugs are extremely well known for their transitional designs across the fields. This one has a rosy pink palette and the accent colors are in a mix of gray and periwinkle. The field features a stepped pattern of linked broad crosses, each enclosing an hooked equal arm cross. Dark brown border of octofoils, palmetters and a faceted meander. Moderate weave. A really cool piece.
