1930s Chinese Art Deco Carpet 9'x 11' 6"
About the Item
The wine-brown field is diagonally wide open and guided by asymmetric rose, paeony and lotus corners bin bright polychromy. The dark pink border has a lace-like character with barbed vines, jagged leaves and round daisies. The border recedes as the corner bouquets advance, giving a nice three-dimensional character to this interwar Tientsin Art Deco carpet in excellent condition.
