Emulating maximalist style with opulent detail work and lavish texture, this antique Chinese Art Deco rug is a captivating vision of woven beauty. The Chinese folklore and vibrant colorway woven into this piece work together creating a truly unique ambiance. The beguiling composition features two females walking through the garden of immortality. Each lady carries a basket, one filled with flowers and the other with lingzhi. Appearing in the background is a pagoda surrounded by water and lucky bamboo trees. A leafy floral border composed of Chinese flowers frames this work of art. The interplay between the piece’s various decorative elements gives the composition a great deal of visual interest while also creating a strong sense of story.
