The 12x14 rug is an antique Chinese art deco rug dating back to the 1920s. Hand-knotted in wool.
On the Design:
This Chinese deco style rug boasts a rare high-low texture married to the floral patterns in its border. A keen eye would note the resemblance to the open field style within, though its center hosts the most subtle patterns matching the border. The colorway particularly favors forest green and teal notes, gold notes in its border and subtle variations to achieve its look of depth. It's a masterpiece of the most elegant sort, like few of its provenance, and an extremely collectible choice therein.
Condition:
This one-of-a-kind antique rug further enjoys good condition following minor restoration by our master weaver. Ready for the floor.
