Antique Chinese Rug with Allover Floral Details
About the Item
The purple field is overrun with flowering branches, ebullient lotus plants, gigantic tree peonies and numerous other real and fantastic garden flora. The goldenrod border shows small, striped mounds, rosettes and imaginative knotty arches. All in all, the field is totally creative while the border employs subtle symmetries. Moderate weave on cotton, good condition, excellent wool and a wide unfading dye palette.
