Antique Tientsin Chinese Rug with Tan Field and Allover Chinese Motives
About the Item
The beige-tan field is literally packed with Chinese motives including peacocks on polychrome rocks, grasses, precious objects, ribbons, a central gazebo within a tree, rock and wave wreath, etc. Pictorial vignettes, including houses and boats occupy the medium blue border. Inner ecru border with coins and arabesque fragments. Thick pile, good condition.
