Classic Chinese Art Deco Rug with Rose Tone Ground and a Floral Trellis
About the Item
This bold Art Deco carpet from Tianjin (Tientsin) features a rose-tone ground, with an open floral trellis border, and en suite inner floral decorations of blossoms in canary yellow, cerulean blue, pale blue, teal and green, on black, wiry stalks. The layout is asymmetric and the field runs right out to the edge of the carpet. Some speckled colour transitions. Thick pile and solidly woven.
