Art Rug in Premium Wool and Silk, "Dale Cuerda" Open Edition

About the Item

This is an open edition art rug, made of silk and premium New Zealand wool, woven by Odabashian's network of family-owned weavers near Mirzapur, India. The design was created by Mexican architecture studio Usoarquitectura for the 2011 exhibition "Tapetes, Tejiendo Historias" at the Franz Meyer Museum in Mexico City. Gabriel Salazar studied Architecture at Universidad La Salle, Mexico City and graduated in 1997. He has long experience in developing residential and corporate projects as well as stage design. He teaches at several universities in Mexico City. Fernando Castañón studied Architecture at UNAM and graduated in 2000. He has a master’s in design theory from the Universidad de Catalunya (ETSAB) in 2001. He has worked for Monteverde Architects in Barcelona and his experience in Spain has allowed him to transmit his unique perspective in his professional activities.
