Carpet with "Hunting" decoration, Mid-20th century.
Field with motifs of warriors and hunters, reproduction of a hunting scene from ancient Persia.
Main border with idyllic floral decoration.
Magnificent color palettes. “So girly” Hunting in pink.
China is also the cradle of more exclusive carpets, knotted entirely of silk. Very rare, these carpets sometimes hide pure gold threads.
Chinese silk rugs have a very high knot density, and their design is largely inspired by the patterns of ancient Persian crafts.
