A modern oversized Dhurrie rug, made in India. As a Dhurrie (also spelled Dhurri, Durrie, Durry or Dari) rug, it is flat-woven out of cotton according to the traditional Indian technique. Its color palette consists of blue and white, with solid white primarily being used for the thick vertical borders and the smaller horizontal borders interwoven into the carpet’s pattern. The pattern itself is regular and geometric, which makes it timeless and universal, suitable for most interiors. Closer inspection will reveal a minute blue and white checkerboard pattern in every square of the grid pattern.
