On the Design:
This rug showcases a delicate all-over floral pattern in soft ice blue and cream hues, with graceful curves and budding shapes reminiscent of pomegranates. Keen eyes will note inspiration from the many provenances known for repeating floral patterns in dense, deftly woven designs as this—a thoughtful and elegant new take on a traditional look.
The block printing process is one of the oldest in textile design and has seen many adaptations. Many of our designs draw on time-honored, archaic designs, such as 17th-century Mogul rug patterns that allow admirers of the craft to make their own personal connection. Our contemporary approach features a subtle high-low texture, a luxurious wool-and-silk blend that beautifully catches the light, and a fresh color palette. As with all our custom collections, comfort and quality remain paramount.
