This 12x18 rug is inspired by antique Oushak rugs—from a bold new Modern Classics Collection by Rug & Kilim. Hand-knotted in silk, it enjoys beige and taupe undertones, rust and bright blue accents, tribal motifs and floral patterns.
On the Design:
This new line is made with a new yarn Josh Nazmiyal is introducing, which has a notable weight and sheen to it in colors one rarely sees in this style. The weaving technique completes the old-world look of the pattern with high quality construction. The design is complementary to the rustic, old-world charm and transitional whimsy of Oushak rugs that distinguishes them from other, more traditional Oriental rug provenances. This piece is also an oversized rug one might rarely, if ever, see in its antique Oushak inspirations.
