Made with handwoven wool, this 8x8 square rug is an exciting new addition to Rug & Kilim’s Scandinavian rug collection—a contemporary reimagining of Swedish minimalism and vintage rugs and textiles of Rollakan and Rya traditions.
On the Design:
Rooted in Swedish Rölakan weaving, this piece balances minimalism with whimsy—perfect for modern, eclectic, or artful interiors.The design here features a strict grid of alternating brick-red and soft rose squares, intersected by mustard-golden lines. Breaking the rigidity are irregular blue-and-yellow squares that introduce an element of joyful disruption—often a signature of designers like Marianne Richter or Barbro Nilsson under the Märta Måås-Fjetterström atelier.
