This is a Limited Edition rug made of premium New Zealand wool and silk. Established in 1921, Odabashian is a creative conduit for artists, designers, architects and creatives to learn, explore and create using traditional handmade rugmaking techniques for applications across all design industries. Exclusive design area rug by world-renowned Mexican sculptor Yvonne Domenge. Hand-knotted in premium New Zealand wool and silk. Hand-carved. Yvonne Domenge Over the last 35 years, Domenge's work has been focused in sculpture. She's had more than 40 individual exhibitions and has also taken part in more than 160 collective shows in several cities across Mexico, and around the world, in museums such as Museo de Arte Moderno in Mexico City, Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Monterrey (MARCO) and The Louvre in Paris. Her sculptures are featured in the collections of several Mexican museums including the Modern Art Museum INBA, the Chopo University Museum, the Universum Museum, and the Light Museum (Museo de la Luz) as well as in the State of Mexico's Modern Art Museum, Tijuana's Cultural Center, Manuel Felguérez Abstract Art Museum in Zacatecas and the History and Art Museum of Guanajuato. Domenge's sculptures are also included in several private and public cultural funds including Mexico's National Palace, National Institute of Nuclear Investigations at the State of Mexico, Energy Temixco Investigation Institute at UNAM, Morelos, Botanical Garden at Culiacan, Sinaloa, The Olympic Park's Sculptor Space of Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mandarin Royal Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo and Liverpool of Cuernavaca, Morelos. Domenge's work can be found all over the globe in such diverse places as the World Bank, Washington DC, The General Toyamura Center Abutagun in Hokkaido Island, Japan: PG & Energy Services Company and Novell, Inc., both in San Francisco, California ChevronTexaco in San Ramon, California; As well as in The House of Mexico in the Cité Universitaire, Paris.

The design for this rug created by renowned Mexican architect Paola Calzada for the 2011 exhibition "Tapetes, Tejiendo Historias" at the Franz Meyer Museum in Mexico City. Paola Calzada Prats is a Mexican architect. Graduated from Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City. She obtained a masters in Industrial Design by Futurarium Scuola de Arte, Architettura e Design and two specialization by the “Istituto Europeo del Design” on furniture production and interior design. While in Milan, she worked for two years as a junior architect for Matteo Thun & Partners. One of the five most important firms in Milan, Italy. Upon her return to Mexico she worked for Higuera+Sanchez (now JSA) for 5 years where she founded the Interior Design Department and later became a partner in the firm. In 2008 she opened her own studio with the idea to function as a multidisciplinary practice in which architecture, interiors, industrial design, textile design and furniture mix into a unique brand and experience-development concept.
