Azilal Moroccan Berber Rug
About the Item
Azilal Moroccan Berber rug. A lovely Moroccan Berber rug from the Azilal province in the Central High Atlas Mountains with a rather whimsical - dare we say, artistic - design and vibrant color palette.
The rugs of this remote region have remained a relative secret until recently. The area seems to have preserved a vibrant culture of creativity in its weaving to this day, long after authentic weaving traditions dwindled in the rest of the country.
