About the Item
A very fine and rare pair of festive bands used to embellish the main gable in the middle of the tent of the Zayan Berber tribe (see the additional images), located in the western section of the Middle Atlas mountains of Morocco. These are expertly embroidered in wool and are of different patterns. These designs often appear on the pile rugs of the neighboring Beni mGuild Berber tribe. Both bands are complete with the wooden element which allows it to be connected to the tent. These are authentic works of tribal art and document the rich iconography of the Middle Atlas Berber people.
