Rabat Curtain 'Izar' from Morocco, Late 19th C

It is rather good condition apart from a few minor stains.

Rabat in Morocco is very famous for its embroideries. This is a good example with a pleasant graphic power.

It has some ware dure to age and use but would make a perfect wall hanging or a throw with its great soft texture.

It is composed of 8 midribs (niches) II silk brocades. Lined with cotton. Some frayed parts especially in pink silk.
