Amazing Vintage Needlepoint Patterned Rug Blanks, Lou Gartner Estate
About the Item
Amazing Vintage Needlepoint Patterned Rug Blanks from the Lou Gartner Estate of Palm Beach. Lou Gartner was an artist and world traveler, well known for his designs and books on needlepoint as well as his shop in Palm Beach in the 1960's and 70's. He created incredible designs which allowed crafters to create their own variations on his patterns.
In the rug size, we have 5 available patterns which are shown in images before the cover of his book below. They include Malachite, Alphabet, Paisley, Cross Wire and Butterflies. The finished products are shown in his book as well as afterwards. Each blank is completely painted by hand and we only have one of each.
Although each is commitment in time and effort, the results would be one of kind, special and worthwhile. Circa 1960's USA. Malachite measures 53" x 33", with 3" empty border. Other patterns are sized and priced differently. Pls contact for further details.
