Vintage American Hooked Rug in Geometric Pattern in Gray, Blue, Pink, Yellow
About the Item
An American Hand Hooked Rug from the early 1900s in a geometric pattern with pastel colors in gray, blue, pink, and yellow. The use of special design and the brilliant colors makes this truly an artistic piece wonderful to be used as a wall art.
Antique Hooked Rugs are a combination of Folk Art Creativity and Simplicity. When it comes to true simplicity and artistic creativity Antique Hooked Rugs have some of the best representations. The tradition of Hooked Rug started in New England. “Hooking” started as a hobby for the farmers in the long and dark cold winter nights of North East States in the US in the early 1800s. Hooked rugs were made as functional pieces for the home either as a bed cover or small carpet for the floor.
